About me

I am married and have lived in Sheffield for many years. I enjoy the city and it’s surrounding countryside through my interests in running and rock climbing. I serve on local forums whose aim is to preserve, manage and provide access to the unspoilt areas of the Peak District. I have worked in industry, the NHS and have done voluntary work for the Samaritans.

My qualifications include a diploma in integrative counselling from Leeds University, where I received commendations for high grades achieved. This training was broad based and had an emphasis on development of self and drew on a wide range of counselling theory including psychodynamic models. I have had further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

As an individual member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I am bound by it’s ethical framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure therein.
