More About How I use CBT
You might find CBT useful if:
You recognise a problem you want to solve
You have an idea about unhelpful thoughts or unhelpful behaviours
Working within a well defined structure might help
Or you don't like the idea of "counselling"
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy examines the links between thoughts, emotions, behaviour and physiology.
I can offer a range of CBT interventions from a conceptualisation of your problems, helping you to change unhelpful or negative thoughts, working with unhelpful behaviour and helping you to avoid recurrence of your problems. I may also use an awareness of other therapeutic models, particularly in work around deeper held beliefs.
CBT is a collaborative therapy which aims to teach you useful skills which you can use throughout your life.
I offer a free initial session if you would like to discuss how CBT might be helpful to you.
